This was our second Saturday match of the year. We started at 10am and finished shooting 6 targets by 1:00pm. While the electronic scoring system was scoring the last of the 6 targets, homemade BBQ (cooked by one of our top shooters Jim Horton) was served with potato salad and coleslaw as well as water, soft drinks, and power aid to keep everyone hydrated and to wash it all down.
It was in the low 90s when we started and was over 100 by the end of the match. The humidity was around 55% and the wind was ranged from 0 to 6mph and switching. It was one of those days where the flags were showing wind coming both toward you and away from you at the same time. Quite confusing. We only had 8 shooters due to unseasonably the high temperatures and conflicting matches within the region.
I want to especially thank Wallace Smallwood, Foster Arvin, and Tim Miller for traveling to the match, putting the pressure on all of us to shoot our best, and assisting with the scoring.
