in a small case like the 6br will the CCI400 hold as much pressure as a CCI450 when it comes to primer blanking?

I have several thousand CCI400s but no CCI450. will the CCI450 buy me anything over the 400 in a 6br performance wise?

TIA

In my experience, YES ...... when testing primers I got better actual vertical dispersion on the targets. And better ES data from the chronograph.
I can't remember the exact numbers, it's been a couple years now since I have tried any 400's, but it was evident in my case with Varget, RL15, and N140 that the 450's worked better. On a note here: my experience is from a 6BR.Improved (Dasher)

I get better ES numbers with the 450 primer in the 6 BR ,22 Dasher and 6 Dasher over the 400 or 205 primer. The cup is thicker in the 450 primer and you have less of a chance of having a pierced primer.

thanks guys. I just got off the phone with Coy at CCI and he said the CCI450 does have a tougher cup than the CCI400 or BR4. the military primer CCI41 has the tough cup and a more rounded anvil to prevent slam fires in military autos.
