Broughton barrels

In Canada we are deprived of much of the good stuff that is south of the 49th. When an offer comes along that appears good it is awfully tempting.
A local dealer has a promotion on Broughton barrels as he is a new dealer for them. What recommendations from experience have any of you on these ?
Appreciate any comments. Twist , grooves etc. TIA

I got a C5 Broughton about 5 years ago and it goes okay, its won 4 nationals and 65% of all championship matches it shot in, works for me.

Long wait!!!!

I had a 4C that a smith sent back for me to be checked because he found a tight spot down in the barrel, this was in July after the RBA Nationals....hadn't heard any more about it yet??? Hope you get better customer service than I did. Great barrels when you get one to put on, probably best barrel I ever had in the few years I have shot was a 5C!!!

Love em', and great service in my experience. The 5 lands and grooves give some smiths trouble indicating in...depending on method.--Mike Ezell

They are very good barrels and I have had no problems dealing with the company. garrisone.

When you buy a Broughton barrel make sure whoever you buy it from will help you replace it if something is not just right about it because if you send it back to broughton be prepaired to either wait a long time or loose your barrel. I sent one back at Tim North's instruction in july this year . Followed up with a least 6 phone attempts. Finely after leaving a message that I needed to order 10 barrels did I get a call back and even then no results on getting the barrel back. Last excuse was he had been on a hunting trip an would be resolved within 5 days . That was last week. Some of the best shooting barrels made but just better hope you get a good one without having to send it back is all I am saying. David K
