Has anyone experienced their bolt handle hitting the back of its slot in the receiver, and noticed a difference on target after the interference was relieved? I'll have a chance to check this with my own gun next week, hopefully. I'm searching for the causes for three vertical flyers during a match that were too far out to be caused by the wind. One was a low shot on the first target at 100 yards before the mirage had started. The other two were high shots in the afternoon at 200 yards after a fair amount of mirage had settled in. One was so high, it was touching the bottom of the 8 ring. In spite of my efforts to shoot at the lower spot that the bull seems to "snap back" to in a boil, these last two shots could be classic misreading of the mirage. But I have no explanation for the low shot at 100. Could the bolt handle interference do this? Thanks in advance for sharing your experience.
