It was a good day for a match today, not to hot but real muggy it stayed overcast with a few showers off and on with trigger pull conditions for the most part. We had a fair turnout with 16 shooters, all VFS. I won VFS with 250-22x, I tried real hard to give it away with a 3x target in match 5 but Mike Ryan felt sorry for me and did the same to give it back to me on the creedmore with a 250-22x also. KC Young took 3rd w 250-22x also, Ol' creedmore got a workout today. I thanked Mike for shoveling them acorns over to the blind hog so I could find one. It was good to see everyone that I haven't seen all year and Thanks to KC and Elsie and the rest for putting on the match. The final match will be in Nov., no match in Oct.

Edit: didn't see Steve's post...

Steve won it all, with 22x. There is some point to getting 5s on your first two targets...

More informantion -- It rained, gently, for a couple relays. The flags hung limp for far too long most of the day. Finally, we got a bit of air movement, & Xs were easier to come by.

Nice to see Steve back on the high road. He's had a miserable couple years with some kind of undiagnosed shooting problem. I think he said he finally took an old gun, took everything apart, re-glued & reassembled. He's won the last two matches he's been in, so maybe he found a cure.

Thanks Charles and Maddog, Yep, I took both guns completely apart and checked everything, never did find anything that I could say for sure was the problem. I reglued them and put them back together and the problem I was having was gone but I still don't know what it was. Now all I need to do is learn to shoot again and quit doing stupid stuff, that 2nd part might be tough because you can't fix stupid!
