Am considering a match at Black Creek . I understand they shoot score matches . I have shot IR50/50 matches in the past . This will be my first centerfire benchrest match . I assume it is similar , except distance ? Thanks , Kenneth

Compared to an IR50/50 target , what diameter is the ten ring ?
Kenneth

Yes sir he does , me and my nephew went down there a few years back and shot an IR50/50 match . Yep, nephew kicked my butt and so did just about everybody else . But it was fun and the people where great . Does the hole have to be inside the ring or just touching ? Thank you again , Kenneth

Just touching, but the 1/16" dot inside the 10 ring is considered an "X". Typically it takes mostly X's to be competitive.

Looked up their scores last night , you are right . High x counts , according to the information you gave me the USBR eight ring is .5" and their x is close to 1/16" . Using that scoring I was able to shoot a 245 10x , certainly not going to turn any heads , I'm going to contact them and try to get down there next month . Thanks for all the replies , Kenneth

Made it down there last weekend , met some really nice people and found out my gun is a better shooter than me , just need to work on my part . 249 13x , nothing speacial but I felt ok about it . Last card , I shot some unknown bullets that where give to me and they shot solid 4 x and 50 . What I noticed about this card is there where no jar lickers , all solid tens and x . Did manage to find who the manufacturer was but turns out he is no longer making them for sale . I'll have to start experimenting with other bullets and hopefully find a lot or manufacturer that hits true like these seem too .
Yep , it's got me hooked again , turning over rocks around here now trying to locate some powder at a local shop .
