I am preparing to have my Panda bolt handle bent to clear the ring on a Nightforce scope. I am trying to get opinions and or other options prior to having it done.

Well my opinion is it's an insane idea. Order a set of the taller rings from Kelbly. It also gets your cheek off the stock which helps accuracy.

to say this publicly, but Dick is absolutely correct. Why risk ruining a perfectly good bolt, or weakening the silver solder, which is guaranteed to let go on a world record group?

I've seen several Panda handles modified to fit with NF scopes by simply lengthening the 'scallop' on the handle. -Al

Kelblys will do it for you if you send them the bolt. You can also do it yourself with a Dremel.

This is correct. The scallop can easily be done, no issues. Bending could cause problems. There was a shooter who merely turned the scope 90 degrees, and solved the problem that way.
