I just got a call from a Gulf War veteran who wants to start shooting benchrest near Johnson City, TN.

Are there matches and ranges close to that area, both formal and informal, where a new guy can get some information and try outt he sport?

We have a score shoot every month at Jonesville, Va about an hour or so from Johnson City

Joe,

Johnson City, TN is the home of the Unaka range. Great place to shoot groups. Call Wilbur or look at the NBRSA website for their dates this year.

Joe, there are also 2 IR 50/50 rimfire ranges within 30 minutes of Johnson City.

I wish you had known this last week. We just finished a great NBRSA LV/HV 100/200 June 12-13 at the Unaka / ohnson City club.

Tell him we are fortunate to have 4 yes 4 good gun clubs within 30-40 minutes of Johnson City. Unaka-Johnson City, Cherokee-Kingsport, Wilderness Road-Kingsport and Kettlefoot-Bristol.
