Bat DS firing pin spring

Bat Firing PIn Spring
Called BAT Machine ordered new firing pin springs for my Bat DS. Got them today way different.

Old spring
length 5.140
O.D. .407
I.D. .285
wire Dia. .065

New spring
Length 6.656
O.D. .407
I.D. .290
Wire Dia. .055

Real P.I.A. to install being over 1½ longer. So I went to the lathe to help me install the spring making it very easy. I first chucked up a piece of ½ inch round stock, then drilled a .070 hole 1.000 inch in depth, then with a .177 drill drilled the hole .700 deep, then using a 7/16 drill, drilled the hole .225 deep. Inserted the pin and with a live center in the tail stock, I compressed the spring and bolt shroud using the tail stock and turned the shroud and cocking piece buy hand. Very easy fast and safe.
Chet
P.S. going to call Bat in the morning to be sure I was sent the correct spring.
