Barrel length

I'm seeing most rails in these pictures seem to have full length barrels, 26"-29" I'm guessing.......

Do any of you purposely cut back your blanks?

Any thoughts on shorter barrels?

Pretty sure a shorter barrel would do just fine. Thing is, you have to have a barrel that sticks past the end of it all or you'll "black up" something fancy.

Ahh yes, thank you. I hadn't even considered that, I'd best go pull some measurements.....

I like to start with the full blank then rechamber it if it stops shooting then keep goin til it wont go no mo.

The best 10 shot group Agg I ever shot with my Rail Gun (.214), was with a 22 inch barrel. It started out as .24 inches

The barrel I am going to shoot at the Texas State this year is only 21 inches. It barely sticks over the end of the bench.
