Thinking of getting a Barnard SM action. I understand HS Precision internal mags and bottom metal work with this action, but wondering if Rem 700 internal box mag and bottom metal (BDL) would also work????

I did contact Barnard but they could not say if the Rem BDL stocks would fit as they never use them....Looks like I will need to buy the action and "tinker". I am hoping to use the Rem 700 stocks as I have several...and that would be the most economical for me to play with. I am awaiting delivery of a stock made by Ian Robertaon to which he bedded a Barnard 'S' action for me.
