I was under the impression that the perfect b.c. was 1. I was looking at Hornady Amax 50 cal 750 gr bullets just for the heck of it and saw that Midway has the b.c. listed for 1.050. Can someone explain that to me?
When they figured out the model that became G1 they were working with blunt nosed bullets. This was over 100 years ago. Modern sharp pointed bullets did not exist.
