Bagtop for 5" stocks

We are seriously thinking of adding a 5" bagtop to go on our Shadetree engineering rest top. We made 6 prototypes and seeing how they work. Are many people using the 5" fore end stocks?

Is there a weight limit for the rifle?

I've seen a few 4, 5, and 7 inch wide Light Gun forearms, but most are on Heavy Guns. Bald Eagle use to make a wide windage top; it would take up to a 7-inch wide forearms. Narrower forearms used the same top & just had more material in the side portion of the bag.

The 4-inch can be taken care of with a custom bag to fit a regular 3-inch top... Like Tooley/Fletcher's "Torque Tamer" stock.

Charles,
Some folks in Missouri are shooting a new 5" fore end stock in LG. I am thinking of making a run of bagtops for our tops that would accommodate them.

The McMillan HBR stocks shown above in a Bald Eagle 7 inch top have a 5 inch forend and are very popular. The big carbon fiber stocks made by Tom Manners at Manners Stocks also have 5 inch forends and are very popular.
Have Cheechako make a post on the FCSA website and you'll sell out that many tops in a day.The big 50's have a 5 inch limit and nobody makes them any rests other than Ransom.
