Maybe I shouldnt have bragged on the .3 in group I got oughta my mod. 70 06. Shot about 30 shots today got one group a little under an in. Still likes the ssts best. Seems like the slower I run the Sierra 175s the better it likes em. Is that because their shot in .308s mostly? The best group I had goin I shot the wrong bull the last shot. I didnt want you to think I was lyin about the good group so Ill tell ya about the crappy ones too. Doug

Thank You Doug

Here's a funny thing.....

EVERY COMPETITOR HERE has been where you are! :):):)

Accuracy, or at least the honest quest for accuracy, starts when you're honest with yourself.

When you drag out a rifle to brag to your buddy and it actually DOES what you claim it does. And then yer buddy shoots it and it does BETTER..... and then the next day/week/month you can do it AGAIN for an aggregate of 5 5-shot groups.... you've made real progress :)

Have Fun, thanks for sharing

The very first "zero" shot at 200 yards recorded in NBRSA Registered Competition was backed up by a 1.250+ incher

This whole endevour can be quite humbling...........jackie

I wouldn't worry to much about shooting some bigger groups. That is just the way the ball rolls. I think that shooting the good groups earlier shows that the GUN/LAOD/SHOOTER combo you had going that day does have some potential.

Just keep working at it. At least you know that you have the ability.
Also one thing shooters sometime don't realize early on in group shooting is how much the wind can move the bullet around....even big bullets.

Thanks for talking to me guys. I was just as proud of that .3 oughta that mod. 70 as the .250s Ive shot with my Panda cause its supposed to do that. That 70 isnt. I guess I flinched just right that day. Oh well, Ill keep shootin. Doug
