100 yard VFS match in Austin Texas Sunday at 1pm. Last time I was there at 11:15 and I got the last bench (They will run 2 relays if we get enough shooters). Might want to get there a little early. Only $10 to shoot in the registered shoot. Lot's of fun to be had. http://www.austinrifleclub.org/ for directions.

The Louisianna State Varmint for Score at Lake Charles is this weekend as well. Was planning going over there, but it depends if I can get to the range tomorrow.

I took the Krieger off of my HV to install the new Rock Creek. I also recieved a new 10-60 variable March, so it's on the Rifle as well. The problem is, one of our big lathes sheared some bolts inside the headstock. They hold a clutch ring onto the high speed pinion. (the lathe is a 32 ft Lehmann Hydratrol). We got it all apart, and are getting the sheared bolts taken out of the gear now.

If I can get to the range tomorrow, and get everything working, I will go to Lake Charles and shoot the Grand Agg. If we have to work all day tomorrow getting the big lathe back together, I will just sit home and watch racing on TV.

Good luck in Austin.......jackie

It's a $10 entry fee whether registered or not. And...there is an optional lottery $5 fee that awards a pot for high score in each class after each match. The more shooters, the bigger the pot. And...cash prizes for 1st place in each class.

One may be able to go home with some hamburger money.:p

P.S. Try to bring correct change...makes my life easier. Thanks....;)

Hey Virg, what is the earliest we can come to the range and "get things sorted out". If I can't get to Tomball tomorrow, I could show up as early as allowed in Austin and do some serious testing. I know your club probably does not want non members at the range unless it is considered part of the match..........jackie

I will arrive at the range at approx 11am. The range will open for testing and sighting in until about 12:15 when I will close it for flag setting and target posting. The match will start at exactly 1pm. It will be over at appox 2:45pm if one relay and about 5:15pm if two relays are required.

Hope to see ya there....virg

Dad and I will be there.

Virg, can you have the gate open this time? someone closed it last time and we had to wait 20 mins to get in.

Hey Virg, Nick and I are heading over to Lake Charles to shoot the Louisianna State Varmint for Score tomorrow. You all have a good time in Austin. ..........jackie
