ARC -100 yd Score Match
20 Shooters - 5 Factory Guns - 15 VFS Rifles
Sunny with pleasant conditions in the high 70's and our prevailing breeze out of the S @ 5-8mph. Added 2 more Factory rifle shooters, welcome Paul Shanklin and John Price. Paul places 3rd in his first match at 232-3X and won a best target in Match 5 with his 308. First place Factory goes to Hal Bogatz with 237-6X and 2nd place is Dicky Johnson at 234-5X.
8 out of 15 VFS shooters were clean at 250. 3 more dropped a point on the last target. Good tight competition today. 1st place , again like last month, is Larry Kochanowicz with a 250-19X. He's been very consistent with his 30 Major and is the man to beat. There was a tie for 2nd place at 250-17X between Don Mulhall and Kelly Novak. Since they shot the same score in Match #1, Match #2 became the tiebreaker and Don had the better score there so he takes 2nd Place.
Great match today and the cooler weather here was a nice change from the summer heat. Next month we go back to our Noon start time for the rest of the fall/winter months.
We'll do it again next month, last Sunday, Oct 31 at NOON.
