100 yd Hunter Benchrest Match
10 Shooters - 6 VFS & 4 Hunter
That nice Texas weather was with us and a moderate to gusty breeze kept the shady firing line cool but it was tough to shoot in. Some regulars were out cause of the holiday, so only a few hunter guns today. Bob Maedgen got off to a slow start but ended in 1st with a 248-15X. Lil Bro Tommy gets a close 2nd at 248-11X. New shooter Andrei got his feet wet shooting with his AR. Good attitude while learning a new sport, the equip , rules, etc. Welcome!
Remember YOUR first match?
Most all of the VFS shooters got bit by the wind gusts, well the Hunters did too, but Steve Young shot clean and wins with a 250-16X. Steve K dropped a point for 2nd at 249-11X.
Thanks to all for bringing the 200 yd targets. Plan is to have a 200 yd contest late summer, prob Aug or Sept.
Our 3rd Annual June Watermelon Match will be on the 30th next month, starts at noon. Cold melon after the match.
