ARC 100 yd Match for Score
19 Shooters - 13 VFS, 3 Hunter, 3 Factory
Cloudy and nice in the 70's. A little breezy, switchy south wind except for the 20 mph GUSTS that everyone had to deal with.
Factory rifles started with 3 but one DNF due to brass sizing probs. Jon Aronson takes 1st factory by squeezing a 245-5X out of his 6.5 Creedmoor. The Hunter rifles started with 4 but more mechanical issues had Curt Gallaher switching out to a VFS rifle early on. ** Lesson here.....Always bring a backup gun. With Curt out of Hunter, Tommy Maedgen cranked out a 249-7X for first while John Gallaher took 2nd with 247-5X. Mike Wall turned in 246-9X for third place.
With all that wind today we still had 7 clean scores. Steve Krause takes first place with a 250-19X. 2nd place was a tie at 250-16X between Norman Luther and big Steve Brown. Norman wins the tiebreaker with the better Match 1 score.
Tough shooting with the random gusts of wind today, delays and blown loose targets . All in a days shooting.
