Benchrest Match Results - July 29,2018
10 Shooters - VFS
Even with an early start, it was HOT HOT ! 91 degrees, clear skies and winds SE 7-10 at the start reaching 101 at the end. Lots of points dropped today due to heat, mirage or those point stealing gremlins. Steve Young won 1st place with a 250-18X and posted the ONLY 50-5X's (2). Robert Rongero gets 2nd place with a 250-14X. Tommy Maedgen dropped one point, but shot 3 matches of 50-4X to win 3rd with a 249-17X. Good shooting on a hot Texas summer day.
The 11:30 start time today helped keep some of the heat at bay but it was suggested we do an even earlier start next month as the August match is unusually BRUTAL. Yes....BRUTAL! We may try a 9:30 or 10 am start time ....IF EVERYONE AGREES. Maedgen brothers may be the deciding vote as they travel the farthest from Waco. Give me some feedback and I'll let you know on the reminder email one week prior to match.
August match will be on Sunday 26th.
