11 Shooters - 8 VFS , 3 Hunter
Covid guidelines still in effect
Fairly decent conditions till Match 4 when remnants of hurricane outer bands blew wind and rain through our contest. But far and away in 1st place for VFS was Bills Sparks showing us how to shoot in the rain. Good consistent targets all day gave him a winning 250-18X. 2nd place was Marlon Goates with his 250-13X. And shooting his 6.5 Creedmoor was Jon Aronson barely dropping one point to get 3rd at 249-10X.
Hunter Rifle shooters got bit by the rain also. John Gallaher wins with a 245-10X and brother Curt took 2nd.
Overcast conditions and then the rain were welcome after record heat here for weeks. But it did give us a drastic change in conditions mid-match that caught some of us. Especially me.
