ARC - 100 yd Benchrest Score Match
15 Shooters 3 Hunter Rifle , 12 VFS
A steady 12-15 northerly wind was with us all day with stronger gusts pushing through about twice each match. Temps did get to the 60's but the wind kept it on the chilly side. The only 250 shot today was Virgil Howarth and his hot 30 HBR Hunter Rifle. Got him 1st place with a 250-13X (tops his last months 250-11X). 2nd place Hunter was a 247-6X tie between Tommy Maedgen and Don Mulhall, with Tommy winning it by his 1st Match score.
VFS shooters had a tight contest with Match 5 settling winners. Lots of points dropped at bad times for everyone. Robert Rongero held steady in the last match and takes 1st at 249-12X and Charles Moore places 2nd at 249-8X and posting his best target to date, 50-4X. Steve Krause placed 3rd with a 248-18X cause he was thinking about BBQ instead of shooting X's.
We give out Trophy Cups each year for the highest scores in VFS and Hunter classes. For 2020, Don Mulhall shot the High score in Hunter Rifle with a 250-12X. Steve Krause got High VFS score shooting a 250-20X. Pictures: Don is the one with the peanut gallery.
