ARC - 100 yd Score Match
19 Shooters - 12 VFS , 7 Factory Rifles
Beautiful day to shoot with temps in the upper 60's, sunny and a south breeze 5-10mph. No Hunter rifles today but 7 factory guns competed. 1st place was Hal Bogatz shooting his 223 and got a 248-5X. In 2nd place is Jon Aronson with a 247-8X and 3rd place is Paul Shanklin at 245-5X.
Bill Sparks wins 1st place in the VFS category. He gave us a lesson with his 250-20X score. Great shooting. 2nd place was Bob Maedgen only 1 X behind at 250-19X. And 1X behind Bob is Don Mulhall posting 250-18X for 3rd.
The Best Scores for 2021 were awarded our annual Trophy cups after the match. Don Mulhall posted the highest score in the VFS category last year. His 250-23 X ties the range record held by John Gallaher. The Hunter Rifle best score in 2021 was a tie at 250-13X. Both Virgil Howarth and Mike Wall shot that score. Congratulations to all 3 men for their fine shooting.
We shoot a 100 yd Benchrest for Score match every month on the LAST Sunday. Summer start time is 10 am and winter months start time is noon. Everyone is welcome to shoot no matter what rifle you bring.....except NO railguns.
Next match will be on Feb 27 starting at noon. Hope to see ya'll there
