The 10am start time this month yielded a little more pleasant match. 82 degrees under partly cloudy skies and only a slight breeze outta the S at 3-7. Match was just about split even between Hunter and VFS shooters.
Hunter category was won by Bob Maedgen with a 250-15X. 2nd place was Virgil Howarth at 250-10X. 3rd place was Curt Gallaher with 248-13X. And that's a special shoutout to Virgil, he's back to shootin 250's!
The VFS winner was Steve Young at 250-20X with Robert Rongero soooo close with 250-19X for 2nd place. Steve Krause gets 3rd with 250-11X.
Next month is September and by raceday these 101-104 degree days should be history. We will return to our regular start time of 12 noon......unless it is forecast to be real hot , then I'll give you a shoutout for an earlier start.
Next match is Sept 30, the last day of the month.
