9 VFS Shooters

Pretty stiff north wind ,10-15 with gusts, shaped up todays' competition. But even a hard , in your face wind didn't keep Robert Rongero from taking first place. A whopping 250-22X put him way out front, breaking ties with wipeouts, and winning 3 of the 5 targets. Excellent shooting. Bob Maedgen got 2nd with 250-16X and Steve Young gets 3rd with 250-15X.

We handed out awards for last years high scores in VFS and Hunter. We also recognized our previous Match Director of 20 years, Virgil Howarth, as "the Best Match Director". It's always nice to have a dedicated and knowledgeable person calling your shoot. Our thanks to him for the many years of service.

Great shooting Robert. We over here in Houston would have loved to come over, but there was the Walker County 100/200/300 all day and night Saturday. I hope to get over that way at least a couple of times this year.
