ARC 100 yd score match
19 Shooters - 15 VFS , 4 Factory
In the 90's when we started at 10am and 104 at the 11:30 finish. HOT goes without saying, Had some absentees cause of the heat and gotta say they may be the smart ones. Next month should be better but this summer's heat may cause us to reconsider the summer start time to 9am....or even 8am due to a lot of older shooters.
Paul Shanklin wins 1st place in Factory Rifle with a 243-8X. 2nd Factory was Mark Edmunds at 239-12X having an errant shot. John Price gets 3rd with 232-1X .
We had 5 clean shooters out of the 15 in VFS class. Larry Kochanowicz had a sizzling 21X's to grab 1st place. New shooter to our match, Dean Wehunt, showed strong with a 250-18X. 3rd place was Steve Krause at 250-17X.
Like a lot of ranges, our firing line has a metal roof plus the heavy metal 'eyebrows' added to follow the club's 'No Blue Sky ' policy. Consequently, in the summer, Matches 4 & 5 get somewhat toasty....uncomfortable.
Anyway, tried to keep the match short so everyone can go cool off. Sept match GOT to be better, hopefully.
Good shootin everyone and thanks to all for the quick post-match cleanup.
