I too had the small problem of the knobs not releasing when wanting to set the knobs to zero.
Before going to the range loosen the torx holding screw a couple of turns, push down on the knob gently exposing a little space between the screw head and the chamfer in the knob top. Put a little grease in that area an rotate the knob to smear the grease under the screw head.
Now retighten the screws but just tighten a little bit. They do not need a lot of torque to keep them tight.
Now go to the range and sight in and then loosen the screws couple turns push down slightly and put your knob on the zero line, retighten. For the money involved I would choose a 45x- 45 Leupold every time---Remember
