Enjoyed visiting with you guys Saturday. Picked up some good tips, seems like my reloading tools and techniques are about up to par. My rifle is outdated, but I am going to continue to shoot my old equipment and enjoy it.

Congrats to the winners.

Jim

Hey Ray, Congrats on the 2nd place in the 4 gun. Good shooting ,my friend. Wish that I could have been there. See ya at Mickeys

What a wonderful match and people! For the guys that don't go to this match in the Ouachita Forrest you are really missing something. John, his wife, and son Alex go out of their way for you. The missus cooked us wonderful meals both days. Thanks to Doc Sorge! He is always there when you need something and delivers. For you that haven't seen rain, we had thunderstorms Sat. afternoon and night. It was damp, misty, and cool Sunday. Glenn Chism almost hit a black bear on the way home.

This is Jason Porter. This young man actually put a whoop ass on us like you wouldn't believe. He accidentally shot his last target on the second relay by mistake. He had a teen agg. and shot a .205 on the last target. If he hadn't done that he would have the 100LV by a bunch, 2nd in the 200LV, 1st in the 100HV and 1st in the 200HV. He is a very nice and polite young man and is a credit to his family and to benchrest.

My buddy, Jay Lynn Gore, brought his lathe to the match and you will see me using it to trim the rim diameter on my cases. The rims were a little large. It took quite sometime as this was an ancient lathe as only Jay Lynn would own. He used it to chamber Glenn Chism's barrel last Tuesday.

You know that they laughed at me for an hour or so before pointing out that I had the wrong shell holder. I am so blessed to have buddies like them.
This ain't the whole story. We didn't get a wakeup call on Sat. morning, so Jay Lynn insisted that the lady bring us an alarm clock. That alarm worked like a champ. We drug out of bed and slowly got dressed. Jay Lynn carried his gun to the truck and woke up Glenn. He stumbled up the stairs and said"Why don't you check your wrist watch". Da5##Med if it weren't 4:30AM! I said Jay Lynn"How could that happen"? I won't repeat what he said other than it was the clocks fault.

It's always a pleasure to shoot with you guys.
I forgot to thank a few more folks also. Thanks go to Billy Stevens for the donation of a chamber job, Ray Porter for the turkeys, and Richard Watson for the shell holders.

Quick question. Watched the breeze play with the flags Saturday; two or three to the left, a couple hanging limp, some to the right, some in and some out and the next row in almost exact reverse.

Seems one must watch one or two and take your best shot.

What do you do?

Thanks.

Jim

thanks for showing up Butch. you guys are great.

Glen always had a grin big enough to catch a bear and Mr Gore, well what can i say, but good shooting. ray

Jim,
You ask a good question. Most times the flags are doing something different. Just try to pick a condition that is close to the same each time.

I hate to get in on the tail end of all this, but i just wanted to say thanks to everyone that had a hand in making the weekend go so smoothly. I enjoyed very much meeting and shooting with the 3 great Texans and the 3 great Stevens Men for the first time. Thanks to Butch for the pictures and kind words! I hope to see everyone that made it plus a few more back next year!
