anyone shooting H322?

I have been shooting some H322 the last couple days in my6ppc and it seems to be a real solid powder. I wonder why I don't see H322 much on the loading tables at the shoots I attend? Lee

I assume you're talking about the Aussie stuff?
Most folks who use it mix it with other powders.
I use it by itself when the temps are cool. I've shot my best 100 yard agg with it but the temps were a balmy 10 degrees. When it gets to 80 degrees or above, I can't figure the stuff out. I can back it off but then accuracy suffers.

I've never shot the Scot made stuff but folks say it is much better.

The weather has been cool here the last couple days. I have also been shooting some norma 200 in my 22 .100 short and it really does well. = have just been trying some different powders lately. Lots of fun. Lee

Lee, I've had some very good groups with around 28.0 to 28.4 of H322 when temps were running in the 40s. My experience with H322 in other calibers has shown it to be very stable in temperature variations.

Also having some interesting results with 24.0 to 24.6 of H4198. Still liking IMR8208XBR right now. And then there's Benchmark ... my sickness is that I can't stop "trying" things.

Skeet,
If you have any 8208 pull down, try blending equal parts of it with H-322, I think you will be surpised at how well it shoots!

Do you mix these two powders at the Range or do you mix them at home and drive to the Range? Do the smaller grains settle to the bottom of the container while driving?

Just Curious

I mix equal parts into a larger round jug and cap the top of it and lay it on the floor and roll it back and forth then turn it end over end a bit and it stays blended. A large round water jug works quite well to ensure no spills after I cap the end I put a few wraps of masking tape around the cap. (don't want to upset the wife if cap comes off)
Everything mixed at home, the next batch I do will be an 8# H-322 & 8#8208 pulldown or 8208XBR.

Well right now I don't know of anyone that has any for sale! Last year you could get it fron Bruno's shooter supply. There was a release of it last year and the guy that had it was in the midwest and it was like 98.00 for an 8lb jug and I think lester Bruno bought most of it, his price for an 8 lb jug I think was 139.00. If you can find someone that will part with it its pretty good stuff especialy when you blend it with H-322. From what Lou Murdica said at the dinner on saturday at the Cactus the new LT-32 will be available soon. If that is the case and it shoots as well as the old" T" powder did then 8208 PD won't be needed much anymore. JMHO and who knows just gotta wait and see.

The last bunch of list 8208 pulldown is NOT 8208, it's just labeled that way. I repeat..it is NOT 8208 pulldown. However, it shoots well.

Kevin are you talking about the stuff David Mosley bought from government surplus and sold to Lester last year?

HovisKM,
I did not know that , but the stuff I am currently finishing is stuff I bought 6-7 years ago and it probably isn't 8208 either but it sure shoots really well! I am just about out of it and missed buying any from Lester. I have enough left to shoot 1 more match, but I am going to mix a small batch of 8208XBR and H-322 to see how well it does. I am just waiting to buy some of the new LT-32 when it shows up. Thanks for the info though.
