An important gun issue we need to stay with and follow up on.

I watched a clip of the opening of the Senate's confirmation hearing on the new Proposed Supreme Court Judge. I thought it amusing her sitting there with a smirk on her face while Arlen Spector dressed her down, softly. I don't think it is going to be an easy time for her. He read a paper she had written defending some very liberal leanings. I think she will be confirmed but they are going to expose her for what she is ahead of time.

These hearings are nothing more than a circus. She has been sequestered for months, in training, so NOT to say something stupid. All the questioning will not reveal enough to turn her down, then she'll go right to carrying out Hussein's agenda, just like Sotomayor.

Wayne is very correct. You all need to contact each of your 2 senators TODAY and stop this appointment approval!!!
 
I do not agree that the present nominee, Kagan, is deficient in any way. Some people don't like well-educated Eastern academics, but such people often have good qualifications for the Supreme Court. Some others strongly dislike Jewish people. That's no basis for anything.

Personally, I hope she gets approved and think she would be great. An analysis on NPR today suggested she is neither particularly conservative or liberal. She may turn out to be "middle of the road."

We all hope you are right. She has a good sense of humor and a nice smile and our President could have chosen a more radical person. I think that she will be on the liberal side of the middle but she will not change the balance of the court. Our country will survive.

Some, nay, many folks do not like homosexuals either. They are not really wired up as they should have been. If ones sexual feelings are perverted, as in homosexuality, what else is cross-wired too?

We want opinions rendered as to the Constitutionality of a law of the land performed by such a person...Not me!!

NPR!! That is all we need. Communist Air America.

Kagen will do what the liberal s want her to do. After working for clinton the gun hater. I believe she will do anything to get the job. The liberals outnumber the conservatives in the senate. I'm sure they will vote on party lines.
As for me i have chuckie shumer and guildebrad for senators {where am i going} Each year i vote and my family votes to get rid of Shumer' He still gets in"' Wonder why? NEW YORK CITY ' They out vote us two to one.
The only hope we have for this State is for New York city to become a seperate district like DC.
That said the second amendment isn't even a debateable issue. Its plain and simple'\
Its an indivual GOD given Right, To protect our other god given rights like free speach, freedom of religion etc/
The first also guarantees freedom of the press {they are supposed to be the Watch dogs of liberty'

NPR = National People's Radio, as in People's Republic of China. ANY analysis they do is so far to the left that it's nearly invisible with even the best telescope.

The left in this country wants guns banned because they're afraid that if they keep pushing and pushing the vast middle of this country in thought and beliefs, where most people are, will rise up and throw them out, which is what the 2d Amendment was intended to allow if the government got, uh, overzealous. Dickie Daley and his equally crooked daddy could care less. Their buddies can all have armed guards like Dickie does, the "little people" can go pound sand. If they're stupid enough to keep electing that crook they deserve what they get and have IMHO.

Whether of not Kagen is Jewish or homosexual doesn't bother me in the least, but the idea that the SCOTUS is or could soon be dominated by east coast, ivory tower, intellectual elites who believe that they know better how we should live and arrange our lives and business than we do scares me beyond belief. Anyone over the age of majority who believes that someone else knows better how their lives should be lived than they do is too feeble minded to be allowed out all on their lonesome IMHO.

The government that governs best, governs least. It worked 230 years ago and it'd still work today given half a chance.

Easy time for her?? What did she do that was anything like work?ever??

She will be confirmed. The (R)s dont have the guts/stomach for an all out BORK style attack.

This past week instead of hearing about this person who will be affecting the country for 40 years all we heard about from the media was KING LEBRON!!!

A forgone conclusion-she is in. My two senators think she is the best thing since sliced bread.
