This Saturday, April 26th, marks the start of the 2008 benchrest season at Pinnacle Mountain Fish & Game Club in Lyndeborough, NH. I have been told that even though the flood waters are still running high, we will be able to get out to the range. Please note that if the road to the range is labeled as being closed due to mud you will have to drive in front of the berm standing next to the driveway instead of behind it.

The club's gate will be open by 7:45 with sign-in and bench drawings to immediately follow, and the first “Commence Fire” being called at 9:00 A.M. signaling the start of the IR 50/50 3-Gun season.

At the conclusion of the IR 50/50 match we will be taking a short break to relocate the target stands back at 25 yards, for lunch (not provided), and to allow time for any late arrivals to sign-in, plus for bench drawing. The second “Commence Fire” should be called at 12:00 noon, or as soon after as time will allow, for the first ever AirGun Benchrest match being held at Pinnacle Mtn.

Everyone is more than welcome to come and join in the fun. Keep in mind that there will be no lunch served so you will need to bring along whatever works best for you, but there will be a good selection of sodas available in the clubhouse for a small donation.

I WILL BE CHECKING AGAIN ON THE STATUS OF THE FLOOD WATERS LATER ON TODAY AS WELL AS SOMETIME TOMORROW SO, IF FOR ANY REASON THE WATERS RISE AND WE HAVE TO RESCHEDULE I WILL BE POSTING ANOTHER NOTICE HERE BY 6 P.M. FRIDAY NIGHT.

If for any reason you need to contact me, you may do so by either calling my cellphone at 987-877-8482, or by emailing me at dashattuck@gmail.com.

And remember: it's "black fly" season!!!

Dave,
I hope to be shooting my .177 but might have to shoot the .22 instead. I had been shooting 22 Benchrest and airgun benchrest with the Holbrook JR's.
I had two 52's and both airguns. The airguns were outshooting the 52's. In the middle of one target all 10 and a few X it didn't stay on the scoring rings. I recharged it and tried myself. It wouldn't group in 2 inches. I didn't have time to swap scopes and with babysitting the grand kids until late fri night I will just bring my .22.

Everything is set to go! The road has been open for a few days now and all is ready for us in the morning.

See everyone at the range.

Dave,
Good shooting to take the win at Pinnacle. Next time if I shoot all 25 bulls my score might go up! I thought it was Black Fly season! See you at Holbrook on May 3 for our first indoor match.

Dave and Paul,
Thanks for the offer to extend the match to two relays today. If I hadn't had to come home to get ready for our IR50/50 match at Salem tomorrow, I would have taken you up on it.

I enjoyed shooting Dave's gun very much. Enough that I'm in the market for a PCP gun now(see my post here). Our clubhouse at Salem could be easily converted to shoot indoor AGBR in the winter, and I think some of our RF guys might like that idea.

Thanks again!
Todd
