Considering a Savage model 12 in 6BR 8 twist and was wondering if anyone has info on Accurizing with any success like you would a Rem. 700 action. True lugs, bolt face, headspace etc. looking to shoot 600 yd. BR

Am doing the exact same thing right now. Barrel just arrived -- Krieger 8 twist. Have accurized Action with SharpShooterSupply 4 oz trigger. Will advise as I make more progress.

I've got a model 12 with a single shot action. Aftermarket BR-type stock. Custom Krieger barrel chambered in 22BR. Very satisfied with the accuracy, but the bolt lift is too heavy to consider entering any kind of match. Have thought about having some work done on the action, but I'm not convinced that the cost will give the amount of desired improvement. I'd love to hear someone say it could be as slick as a custom action for a reasonable investment. But until then investing in a custom action seems like a better choice (if a person is hoping to compete).

I love the Accutrigger, but again, it's not even close to a Jewel.

Get a Panda or Borden BRM. The extra will cost will pay off every wichaway you can think.
It's like racehorses, cost the same to feed a slow one as a fast one except initial investment.
