Took the kids out to a 300 yd match today, Stephanie shot real good until her Father (Me) started messing with her scope settings.......... dumb A$$

but any way, I have a very old Unertl 24X63 spotting scope that I had out and was using. I went to adjust the vertical level of the scope and the hand nut cracked that tightens the base. It is the large black round knob with the indents on it that cracked where it goes onto the screw that holds the clamp on.

Does anyone have one of these or how may I fix it? It cracked in three (3) spots so it is not tight on the screw that clamps the main holder to the vertical post, so I can't tighten it up.

Any help would be great!

Email or PM me at afponiky@yahoo, I can provide a phone number or call you.

Thanks, my daughter will be very happy if I can get this fixed.

GRP Afponiky,

picture??

I'm doubting I can help but if what you're describing is a turning handle cast onto a bolt stud then I suggest you try a good hardware store. Out here Parkrose Hdwr would likely have it, or Grainger or Aubuchon on the web.

Sometimes one of the box stores like Depot or Lowe's will even have one.

Worst case could you use a bolt? Weld on a tee handle?
