I'm having a 6x223 built on a Sako L461 with a Hart barrel. My primary interest is in shooting 80-85 grain bullets. I have load data from Sierra and Hodgdon. Does anyone have 6x223 or 6x47 experience with those bullet weights, and if so, what powder would you suggest for accuracy.

Thanks,

Frank

If you look in the current Hodgons book (the paper back) it has data for 60--100 gr bullets

I have had several 6X47's that I shot mostly for fun and competion a very little bit. I shot mostly 70 gr and 85 gr. They all seemed to like H322, BLC(2), H335 and then later Benchmark. Might throw in IMR 4895 too for the 85gr. Hope that helps. That is a sweet little cartridge. STBE

I just finished a 6TCU with a 22" barrel that likes VVN135 and H-4895. I'm wanting to try BLC-2 (if any ever becomes available again locally) and wouldnt have thought about Benchmark, Thanks...
