On a different forum, there is a discussion about Lapua's decision to introduce small primer 308 and 22-250 and not 6PPC brass. I figure the number of 6PPC shooters world today is less than 10,000. What do you guys think? Is that number much too low? Tim

Laupa 6ppc already has small primer pockets!

Think Tim means fully formed 6ppc brass and head stamped too...

Guess if Norma will do it... Lapua will too.... BUT... I just hope Lapua continues the .220Russian case AS IS..... I like many other BR shooters don't mind making (necking up and turning and fire forming our PPC brass).. After all, most every IBS and NBRSA record has been set one way or another with Lapua .220 Russian brass.

Probably... But still the PPC case or 6PPC in particular is KNOWN to many as THE accuracy round... Getting popular with many.. Even varmint hunters are seeing not only the accuracy but amazing velocity obtained from a stumpy little round... 55gr pill doing > 3600 and damn fine barrel / brass life for this performance. Conversly, the 30ppc is very cappable in VFS shoots. 30cal 110-112 gr bullet going 2800-2850 will punch them x's damn regular...!

The ppc round will be around for a looong while... Just watch, the new IBS AR class will addopt the 6ppc in their chamberings............ And this I see as to really increasing the popularity/demand of the PPC case/chambering.

Hey Tim, hope you and Family are doin OK..... The Ice has been trecherous.. South of me the ice has been down right crippling...:(
We got a lot of ice the first 10 hours of Thurs, then aft 6:00AM Friday we got clobbered with 8-10" of snow............ Power has been on and off.... But it's been on the last 12 hours consistently.
Take care,

cale

I have no problem with the Lapua 220 Russian to 6ppc, could actually care less if they make a 6ppc headstamp or not.

Cale,

We got off lucky. We were right on the ice line. 30 miles North of us got hit a little. However, 70 miles North West got hammered. I am loading up my generator in my 4x4 to up to a friend this afternoon. Lindsey area got really hammered. I have a friend at Hobert that tells me the entire area is without power. We are trying to organize the response teams to go help cut limbs. Not sure were we are being assigned yet.

Tim
