It will work well for 1000yds. and i would stay with 105 gr bullets . For no other reason than those bullets have been proven winners . If you can get the 115 shooting that would make a great combination .

I shoot a standard 243 set up to shoot berger 115. I did well this year at the world open at williamsport. Yours should do well also with 105s or heavier.
