The 6mm Remington and the 6mm BR are two completely different cartridges. You need to back up and start over.

Exactly what are wanting to accomplish??

A few details will help us help you.

Just like you can't turn a .223 into a .22 rimfire. Both ".22's" but entirely different creatures.

6BR thats what i want to know about like were i get brass and gun and stuff

info on 6BR

Here is a link to the cartridge info on the www.6mmBR.com website. I whole page dedicated to that cartridge.

It should answer your basic questions.

Only Savage sells a 6BR as a factory chambering. Cooper and several semi-customs gunmakers will chamber one for you. You can buy brass from Norma or Lapua in ready to use form. You can even buy ammo from Norma but it aint cheap. The case head is a 0.473" size. That is the same as a 22-250, 243, or 308. About any short action with a 0.473 boltface can be rebarreled to a 6BR. Cheapest way is to get a Savage short action and then buy a prefit barrel for less than $300 and have it screwed on by a gunsmith with a headspace gauge and you are really to shot tiny groups. I just got started with the BR case family. I got a 30BR. I see a 22BR and a 6BR in my future.

Hope this help, tiny
