When turning necks for a tight neck 6bra .How far down the neck of the 6br case should be turned prior to forming the 6bra?

To my understanding, all of it. The shoulder isn't being moved forward, up the neck..only out to 40°. So the bottom of the shoulder moves up a tad but the top does not. Just be careful about cutting too far into the shoulder. Technically, it will affect headspace because an Ackley case will index off of the neck/shoulder junction until fire formed.

first turn to fire form, I turn just short of the neck shoulder area. It head spaces right there so I don't want the case to move when fire formed. after fire formed I will turn into the shoulder to help with the donuts and I run a reamer down the neck to cut out the donuts...... jim
