Has anybody tried a 6 Dasher with Reloader 17 and 105 bergers. If so what velocity and accuracy where you getting. I am looking to try at 1000 yds.

I have shot 115 bergers in my 7 twist Dasher with RL-17 at 1,000 yds. with good accuracy.
The 105's should do OK but I have not tried them yet.

Re-17 in a Dasher or 6mmBRX

It is my opinion that Varget and Re-15 is still the best powder for a 30-32" 1:8 barrel.

The best accuracy, case and barrel life is found between 3000 and 3080 fps.

Re-17, VV550, and H4350 all give a little more velocity and make shorter barrels able to get to 3000-3100fps.

Case life, Barrel life, and accuracy also go away with higher velocity in the 6mmDasher and 6mmBRX.

If you want more velocity shoot a bigger cartridge, i.e. .243, 6mm, 6mm/284, 6mm/06.

Another 100-fps over RL15 capability at near equal pressure, is what I've been seeing, from RL17 with 105-VLD bullets.

Donovan,

I'm assuming you found equal or better accuracy at that speed...?

Just askin' cuz I've seen a number of 'Wow! look at that speed! claims for RE17, later followed by 'This stuff won't shoot worth a dang!' admissions.

Monte,

With 105gr bullets, I get better accuracy from RL15 at the normal velocities.
With 115gr bullets, I have been getting better accuracy with RL17 (for over a year now) at 105/RL15 velocities.
** Bare in mind, I am on long throat chambers, which is needed for the 115's to work - IMO and experience.

Happy Shooting

Thanks for the info, was not sure what to expect. What amount of R17 are you using.
