Check out wv1000yd.com we have several of these guns in our club
yes they are winning 1000 yd matches,we had four local club members
finshed in the IBS shooter of the year #2,#5,#18,#19 the #2 shooter
also was rookie of the year, the #5 shooter of the set a new 6 match score
world record,This calb,is doing really well for us.

I just had Leonard Baity barrel a 6.5x47L for me for a HG to use at 600 yard IBS competition. It's a Brux 1-8.5 twist 1.25 straight 29.5 inches long. I have only shot it one day at 600. It is showing potential, @2.5 inches in good conditions. My BR's or improved BR's (BRX or Dasher) would be shooting under 2 inches under good conditions. My thoughts are: if I can get the groups down close to a BR, it should have an advantage in windy weather like we have here in NC in the spring. I am working with 130 Berger VLD's, R-15, CCI-BR-4's and 450's. I have found it likes them jammed in the lands hard. My next step is play with the powder charge and neck tention. If the 130's don't work I'll try another bullet.
I noticed you guys from WV are shooting the 6.5x47L very well at 1000. What have you found works? (in detail-down to neck tention)
Thanks, Samuel Hall, Boonville,NC
