You will be able to acheive higher velocities with the Shehane. This allows more flexibility when tuning so that could be considered an advantage. There are many shooting standard 6.5-284 that likely would argue there is no advantage.
Another consideration is the dies you will use. I think Bill has dies for his round but I don't know the cost. If cost is a consideration then I'd go with the standard round thus easy to find dies and no fireforming either.
