416/300 wsm velocity questions

JUST ABOUT A YEAR AGO I HAD A RUGER M77 REBARRELED WITH A 26" DOUGLAS PREMIUM TO 416/300 WSM. I SAW THE CARTRIDGE IN A MAGAZINE THOUGHT IT WAS COOL. FOR MY STARTING POINT I USED LAZZERONI'S SHORT MAGNUMS AS A REFERENCE POINT. THEY HAVE A .416 CALLED THE 10.57 MAVERICK WHICH APPROACHES 2750 FPS WITH 300 GR BULLETS. MY BEST GROUPS HAVE COME WITH A BARNES 300 GR TSX @ 100 YDS IT IS SHOOTING 1/2" AND 1" @ 200 YDS. HOWEVER MY VELOSITY IS ONLY 2100. I CONTACTED LAZZERONI AND THEY SAID THAT THEIR CASES ARE MUCH LARGER IN DIAMETER, BUT THAT I SHOULD GET MORE 2100FPS. THE SLOWER POWDERS AREN'T GROUPING WELL, NOR ARE THE LARGER BULLETS @ 1" OR BETTER. MY CURRENT LOAD IS 66 GR OF VARGET VERY COMPRESSED AND CRIMPED. INTERESTED IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS OF HOW HOW I CAN GET MORE VELOCITY AND MAINTAIN 1/2" MOA? BTW IT'S HELL ON HOGS!

416WSM is fun. I use a hand cast bullet of 500+ grains. Velocity is only about 1800 fps. On the other hand, I have tinkered with 350gr Swift bullets and am getting about 2300 fps over a full load of RL 22. Maybe just my chamber? I am working up a load over Retumbo next, and Varget is on my list for the heavy bullets as that is my primary use for this round. I load it for a TC Pro Hunter Carbine for bear control.
