40X Smiths

I've been trying to get my 40X ready to compete but so far it just will not shoot. I have a CZ sporter as well as a 504S which out shoots it on a regular basis. Bases, rings, scope are all good. I've installed a tuner and a Kelbly trigger.

I'm ready to either sell it (I'd hate to do that to someone) or spend some money to have a good 40X smith go over it.

Can anyone suggest a good 40X smith?

gene davis in ohio you might try he can probably help you if it's not to big
a job. he's kinda sorta retired but he still tinkers. a good fellow.

I wouldn't give up on tthe 40x yet.
Maybe it only has a minor problem/
The barrel could be lead fouled, The bedding could be off also.
Most of them shoot really well with decent ammo.
 
Wasn't Gene Davis referring people to someone named Penrod(?) a while back?
