If the starting point is a 40Xr, ignoring for the moment the obvious issue of barrel quality, and ammunition selection, what, if anything can be done to the action to improve the ultimate accuracy of the rifle?
My 40x wears a Karl Kenyon trigger. It is a 90 degree sear. Kenyon 40x triggers are darn near unobtanium. There is a guy in the midwest making a 700 pattern trigger that has the 90 degree sear cut. I cannot remember his name but Clint (flykiller) is involved so he will know. Clint goes by "shooting for perfection" if you want to google it. bob
