40x barrel ?

I am a first time poster but have been lurking for awhile. I have gained good info from this site. (lapua brass i now love) Here is my question i came across a rem 40x with an aftermarket bbl. It is stamped R.A Simard .243 I was wondering if anyone has heard of this barrel before?
 
That should be the name of the smith who installed the barrel not the barrel make.

I had somebody tell me that they had heard of a gunsmith in VT by the name of ray simard. So that makes sence to me. Ill have to pull the acton andbbl out of the stock to find out thanks.
 
i thought that the bbl make might be stamped where i could not see it. I now know that it is not stamped anywhere as i got in touch with the gunsmith that installed the bbl. His name is Ray Simard from dublin nh. I am going to bring the rifile to him next week to see what he can tell me about it. Thanks for the help
