G'day all,
I've got a new 22BR 0.254neck 1:8T krieger palma profile 29" Krieger chambered up on my BR rifle (Bat DS LBRPLE) as a LV and was after first hand experience for load data for either BR use in very crappy & windy conditions as well as f class/ LR BR out to say 6-800yds.

Please note: where I shoot the wind comes straight from the Antartic-Southern ocean and hits landfall about 200m away form the target line! holding off the paper in BR at 200yds is not unusual and requires a steady nerve!

I plan to shoot 80gn Berger Vld's in BR and SMK/nosler/amax's in f class until the barrel is shot out then 75amax's for varminting in a shortened 26" tube.

Any first hand experience of loads with either varget or H4350 would br greatly appreciated. Please include seating depths and primers

thanks in advance,

Cheerio Ned

I have shot a 22 BR for 600 yard bench rest and have done pretty well with it. I have 2 barrels and shoot H4350 in both, 32gr in one and 32.5br in the other. I shoot 80 grain SMK just touching the lands in both and CCI bench rest primers. Mine are tight neck (.248) and standard 22BR length case and have to be trimmed after necking it down. I use Remington brass in one and Lapua in the other no difference in accuracy but the Remington brass gets the extra .5gr of powder

Hope that helps. Gary
