Im looking for a small capacity round based on the 222 rem or inbetween the 221 fireball and the 222 so i can use lapua brass. Anyone know of any of the wildcats that dies are already made for and that would be easy to form?
I have not even found any dies listed anywhere for 222 improved?
The only one i have heard of is the 22 vartarg turbo so far.
Anyone know how much one could push the shoulder back on lapua 222 cases and not have to anneal the brass?

When I used to shoot a .222 more at the range, I found that I could load it down a little and it was very accurate. Maybe you are making this harder than it has to be.

I have to agree with Boyd

Sure seems like a lot of work to change a very nice little very accurate cartridge into something of unknown characteristics.

Something in line with the Javalina? A 22 Jav?? Hmmm.

Crappie,

There's really only a couple of hundred feet per second difference between the Fireball and The Deuce. Making something in between seems like kind of a hassle. Think I would just put a bit less powder in The Deuce.

Shoot the duce . Its easy to load for and you could even use lead bullets ''
My favorite case, IE 11grs 4198 and a 55 gr lyman bullets with gas check.

I agree, if you don't like the forming process and the the goal is to use 1-2grs less then download the 222. The Jav falls directly in the middle of the 221 and 222, I have never seen one personaly in the 223 caliber though,

That might fit the bill also, http://www.go2gbo.com/forums/index.php?topic=200121.30. Adam
