22 br

I got some 2520 accurate powder.
stooting 52 grain bullets the max is given at 33.7 grains I think on 6 mm br sight.
what would be a starting load for this.i thought 30.0 and go up 1/2 grain at a time.

This might be something to try. I shoot this load in my .22BR. That rifle has actually come to be my "go to" hunting rifle. I really don't know how many white tail deer and turkey I've taken with it in somthing like 10-12 years. Shoot a deer at the base of the ear or a turkey thru the eye and you only have to walk from where you are to them. It's barreled with a Hart 1X14, on a "worked over" Rem 700 action, Jewell trigger, Burris 6X24 scope, action and barrel bedded appropriately, etc.

I tried all the 50+ bullets and just couldn't get good enough accuracy. Then, I tried the following: 62Gr Council (Ralph is a local Tomball, TX guy), Rem 7-1/2, 29.1 Gr VV 140 set with the bullet JUST touching the lands. This might not work for you and I suggest starting a bit below 29.1 Gr. I don't find that hot, but who knows what your rifle will think?

Please post what you finally settle on.

Good luck.
