Not sure if I've seen anything posted about this yet so I thought I'd put it here.
The UBR Score Nationals are coming up at Buckcreek in Somerset, Ky on September 15 and 16th. This is a Friday and Saturday match schedule due to a church being right down the road from the range., instead of the more typical Sat/Sunday venue.
If you have never been to this range, you should come check it out and give UBR a try. The range is an excellent venue nestled in the foothills of the Daniel Boone National Forest..in beautiful country. Jackie Stogsdil and company always put on a good match and are great hosts. I'm looking forward to seeing him and everyone that can make the trip.
If you're not familiar with UBR, it's a caliber neutral benchrest for score venue, where 22's, 6mm's and 30's all have equal opportunity to win without the advantage/disadvantage of bullet diameter. There's a class for anyone and just about any gun that's 30 caliber and smaller...including a factory class.
There are currently no annual membership fees for competitors, so you just pay match fees. I don't know that I've seen the fee posted for this years Nationals yet, but expect it to be a bargain at around $50 for two days of shooting and a good meal provided. Maybe someone can post some details about the fees and whether we'll be eating ribeyes or filet.
I look forward to seeing everyone and hoping for some great Ky. weather in the middle of September..Should be great.
Hope you can make it!--Mike
