Could be the best ever!!!! From what I've seen the legendary prize table is better than ever. More Nightforce scopes, barrels, and actions than before! The dates are the 9th and 10th of July. All the details about the range, driving directions, accommodations are on our website at www.pa1000yard.com. Go on the website, print off an entry blank and send it in. We have capacity limits and every year we get closer to reaching the limit so get your app in early.

Joe- Realizing that gas expense is a bit higher this year we've sweetened the pot. Each shooter that signs up gets a door prize ticket that will be drawn Sunday for a new Nightforce scope. So you could come in dead last and still take home a $1500 dollar scope!!!!!

I could have all the tickets but one and still not win! From what I hear there are a lot of great prizes. But the way I've been shooting, I'm going to need some luck.

Joe,

Yep, like Frank said, we will be giving away a 12-42 Nightforce Scope outside of the normal prizes. Each shooter will receive a ticket, and 1 ticket will be drawn to receive the free scope ;)

So you can come in dead last and still walk away with a Nightforce Scope ;)

Along with a few actions there are more than 12 scopes on the prize table from Nightforce, Sightron and Leupold, not to mention a $2400 certificate from US Optics.

We will re-institute the 4 man side bet at the Open this year. Gather up 3 other guys and enter the bet. Some years the pay off has been BIG!!!!

PA guys

Heard about an email going around to some PA only shooters about all shooting trailers, tents and canopies must be on the non shooting side of the road this year.

i.e., no shooting trailers backed up to the cleaning areas, no canopies set up left of the firing line toward the RV area etc as has been the normal practice at the WO in years past.

As that area across the road is a pretty small area (last time I saw it) and fills up real fast anyway, that could be a problem.

If that is true, late arrivers are in for a long walk back and forth with guns and gear unless you have got some closer areas.

What is reality here for shooting trailers, canopies, tents etc this year?

If this is true, better let all the registered shooters know they need to arrive real early Friday or have long walks all Sat and Sunday for the relays.

Herman: I got to wonder how these rumors get started. I don't know of any such email and I think I'd be one of the first to know. As in past years, gun trailers and canopies can be set up on either side of the road, as long as there is always a safe and clear exit for safety reasons. Campers and tents, basically living/sleeping areas, have to be across the road. You can use a generator and water is available.

Herman,

Also, the opposite side of the road is quite cleared off and open since you were here.

See you there ;)

Tim- You know you're always welcome. I hope to see you there sometime. I'll show you around. Lots of BR history here.
