13TW 22cal barrel

I have been looking for a cut rifled barrel blank in 22cal for a short 22ppc. The only thing I can find in stock is a 13 twist bartlein. I pretty sure ill be fine here as I am shooting a 52 grain bullet. I just thought I would see if anyone here had any ill experience with a 13 twist 22cal before I bought the blank. I know most use 14 twist and some even a 15 twist. I don't know of anyone that has used a 13 twist. I just don't want it to be to fast. Lee
 
Lee why not just do a 220

Russian ? I should shoot just as well as a 22 short PPC.... Just asking cusz I am thinking of do it myself - PDOG eliminator - HA... ;);)

I did a 20PPC and that is good too

I have just about settled on the print for my 40 degree 22ppc short reamer. what I am still unsure with, is the free bore I need to use. I had a conventional 22ppc reamer a couple years back and it was .030 free bore if memory serves me right. I felt it was a little on the short side. Im thinking I need a .045 or even a .050. what free bores have some of you other folks used on a 22ppc short. 52gr FB bullets. Lee

I know very little about the 20ppc. however I did just complete a 20cal begs project, and that barrel is a lazer. so much so, I wish the barrel had been mine. A real one hole shooter!!! Lee
 
I love a 13tw. why dont you call bill forrester on your questions- he's the world leader in 22 shooting
 
what free bore would be according to what bullets your shooting, a 10 ogive 72 isn't gonna work in .030 freebore and a .065 freebore won't work with a 8 ogive .705 length bullet. I use .020 with .705 and .740 long jackets 7 ogive
